Choose a question. Find one thing you can use. Come back for the rest when you need it.
Choose one main job: get enquiries, take bookings, sell products or explain what you do. Make that next step easy to find. Start by finishing this sentence: “My website helps ___ to ___.”
Start with what you offer, who you help, why people can trust you and how to get in touch. A clear home page, services, about and contact section can cover the basics. A small business may fit these on one well-organised page.
Your domain is your web address. Hosting keeps your website available online. Business email may be a separate service. Compare renewal prices as well as introductory offers, and keep your domain registered to your business with access you control.
Say clearly what you do, use real examples and make contact details easy to find. Explain prices or how to get a quote. Readable text, honest claims and a contact form that actually delivers are more valuable than a pile of fancy effects.
Split your wish list into “need now” and “could add later”. Count domain renewals, hosting, email, plugins and support in the ongoing cost. Add bookings, payments or accounts when they solve a real need, and check what those services charge.
Try the site on your phone. Check every link, use the keyboard to move through controls, and send a test enquiry all the way to the inbox. Check HTTPS, spelling, contact details and relevant privacy requirements. Keep a recovery copy.
